The applications of Erasmus+ European Mobility Program for Student Studies will be held between 21.02.2022 (around 18.00 pm) and 7.03.2022 (by 23:59 pm). The details of the application, agreement lists, and last years’ statistics can be found below.

KEY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Please bear in mind that students:

-Must have METU course load of minimum 30 ECTS for the semester in which s/he plans to participate Erasmus Programme

-Must  take 30 ECTS course at the host university

-Make sure that 30 ECTS courses will be recognized by their departments upon successfully completion

-Graduate (MA, PhD) students who has  completed their course can also apply. Their courses taken abroad will be recognized as thesis studies.

Who can apply?

Applicants must be registered at METU as full-degree students at the time of application.

Applicants must complete at least one semester at METU.

Conditional Program (Bilimsel Hazırlık) students and students studying in the Department of Basic English are not eligible to apply.

Please note that:

Students can participate in the Erasmus program during their studies at the same level (undergraduate students can participate in the program during their undergraduate studies, master's students can participate in the program during their master's studies, PhD students can participate in the program during their PhD studies).

Application period for the 2022/23 academic year is 21.02.2022 – 07.03.2022. (by 23:59)

Applications are received only once a year and always for the following academic year.

Students can make maximum 4 choices from the available universities. Please bear in mind that it is not possible to change chosen universities after submitting the application.

Minimum CGPA Requirement for Application

Undergraduate students who are considering to apply for Erasmus program should have at least 2, 5 CGPA and graduate students should have at least 3, 0 CGPA over 4, 0.

English Proficiency for Exchange Programs

International Cooperations Office will discontinue holding English Proficiency Exam for Exchange Programs (EPEEP) based on the University Senate decision given on December 29, 2021. No EPEEP exam will be held starting from 2022. However, students interested in applying to ICO programs such as Erasmus+, Overseas Exchange or Mevlana will be able to bring any English language score taken within the last 5 years before the application period. These scores must be one of the METU recognized exams. Please check which exams are recognized by METU from the link and prepare your valid score. The online system will take your highest score if you select your available score to be counted for Erasmus+ application assessment and ask the system to do so. If not, you will be able to upload your language score which is recognized by METU on the application system which will be checked for the validity and eligibility by ICO and converted to METU IYS exam based on the table below. The table below will be used for conversion of METU's recognised exams into a grading scale ranging from 1 to 100, the highest score. Then the online system will calculate its 50% for the selection purposes (see Selection Criteria section) as explained below:

Selection Criteria

According to the regulations of the Turkish National Agency, 50% of CGPA and 50% of the English language test score are considered in electing prospective Erasmus students.

Besides, before calculating the 50% of the CGPA, a coefficient is applied on the CGPA according to the applicants' department and semester information as below:

Student CGPA: 3.15

CGPA of the related department's students in the same semester with the applicant: 2.89 Ratio: 3.15/2.89 = 1.09 25*+1.09=26.09 Overall Erasmus application score: 3.15x26.09 = 82.18

*the convergent factor to calculate 50% of the CGPA = 25

-  15 points will be added to the overall score of the students who are the childrens of martyries and veterans.The proving documents must be submitted to the online application system during the application period.

-  10 points will be added to the overall score of students with disabilities. The proving documents must be submitted to the online application system during the application period.        

-  10 points will be added to the overall score of the students who are who have been under protection by 2828 Social Services Law. The proving documents must be submitted to the online application system during the application period.

To get these additional points, applicants have to submit their  official proofs until 07.03.2022 to International Cooperations Office via online application form.

-  10 points will be decreased from the overall score of the students for each participation of the Erasmus KA103/ Erasmus Traineeship.

- The students who apply for both Erasmus student and traineeship mobility will be expected to give priority to one of their choices. The preference will be indicated during the online application. 10 points will be decreased from the choice that is not prioritized.

2022-2023 Erasmus student mobility grants in Euros (monthly)

**The students who are economically disadvantaged and getting needles pension under the law numbered 3294 (Incentive for Social Solidary) will get additional funding (additional 100 euros per month)  after selection process. The student should submit the official documents to prove this situation.

In case of budget limitations, it is also possible to participate the program without receiving grant if you are placed to one of the available quotas at the end of the selection process. Those participants with zero grant have to fulfill rights and obligations of the program.

Students who would like to withdraw from the Erasmus programme should inform ICO about withdrawal decision latest by May 30, 2022. Please bear in mind that students who withdraw from the programme after May 30, except for the force- majeure cases, will lose 10 points their future Erasmus applications at the same study cycle (academic level).

Announcement date of application results: The results will be announced towards the end of March, 2022 (expected)

Erasmus+ Non-European Exchange Program (KA171 International Credit Mobility – ICM) has been carried out based on a competitive budget received for a particular country outside EU and candidate countries (known as program countries) since 2015, of which METU has been a very active university since its launch in Turkey.

However due to budgetary reasons and limitations, Erasmus+ Non-European Exchange Program (KA171 International Credit Mobility – ICM) Outgoing Student Applications to go abroad in the 2022-2023 Academic Year will not be taken in the upcoming spring semester of 2021-2022 Academic Year. ICO is planning to make project applications for KA171 (old KA107) program in February 2022. Based on the budget to be received for ICM program for each region, ICO is planning to re-open the outgoing student applications in 2022-2023 Academic Year. 

Interested students who wish to participate in exchange programs carried out by METU-ICO are suggested to make outgoing student applications to either Erasmus+ KA131 European Mobility or METU's Overseas Exchange Program to go abroad in 2022-2023 Academic Year through ICO run programs, of which initial announcements have been made on our web site. 

25 Aralık 2021 tarihli 31700 sayılı Resmi Gazete ilanında belirtilmiş olan Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi Rektörlük Uluslararası İş Birlikleri Ofisi'ne alınacak 2 öğretim görevlisi başvurusuna istinaden ilgili yönetmelik (Öğretim Üyesi Dışındaki Öğretim Elemanı Kadrolarına Yapılacak Atamalarda Uygulanacak Merkezi Sınav ile Giriş Sınavlarına İlişkin Usul ve Esaslar Hakkında Yönetmelik) esaslarına uygun olarak, %30 Yazılı Giriş Sınavı, %10 Lisans Mezuniyet Notu, %30 ALES Eşit Ağırlık ve %30 Yabancı Dil sonucu dikkate alınarak yapılmış nihai değerlendirmeye göre adaylar en yüksek puandan en düşük puana göre sıralanmışlardır. Türkiye Ulusal Ajansı tarafından açıklanan ve 2021 proje dönemi NİHAİ hibe dağıtım sonuçlarına göre, Üniversitemize tahsis edilen bütçe kapsamında overall puan sıralaması dikkate alındığında ilk 280 sırada olan öğrencimizin hibe alabilecektir. Bu sıralamaya giremeyen ancak Avrupa’da bir üniversiteye yerleştirilmiş diğer öğrencilerimiz "Yedek" statüsünde listelenecek ve ilk 280 öğrenci arasından farklı gerekçelerle programdan çekilen adayımız olması durumunda overall puan sıralamasına göre yedek statüdeki öğrenciler arasından puanı en yüksekten başlamak üzere bir hibeli listeye yerleştirme yapılacak ve yedek liste sürekli güncellenecektir.

Dear Students,

According to the recent internet announcement made by the Turkish National Agency concerning the 2021 budget year grant distribution results , METU students who have been placed to Erasmus mobility program in the first 280 rows based on overall score will receive the Erasmus grant. The remaining students who have been placed to Erasmus program but not in the first 280 rows list will be in the "Reserve" status. The reserve list will be updated in case any student from the first 280 rows, Erasmus grantees, withdraws from the program.

When a student in the first 280 rows withdraws from Erasmus program, that means reserve list students will shift to Erasmus grantees list. Once this change happens and your Erasmus grant comes, you will be informed by your ICO advisor. You do not need to do anything about this situation. *In the statement on the website of the Turkish National Agency, the number of "TENTATIVE" students for our university was determined as 317, but this number was made according to the an average a mobility period and the amount of grant, and it does not express the DEFINITE number of students. What is certain is the total amount of grant allocated to our university. In this context, when the list of our students selected for the 2021-2022 academic year is examined, it is seen that the grant allocated to our university will be sufficient for only 280 students in the first place, considering that almost 90% of our selected students are in the grant group of 600 Euros per month.

**Currently, the signature process between the Turkish National Agency and our University still continues. Grants have not been allocated to our university yet. When the grants are allocated, the students with the grant will be notified immediately and the grant procedures will be started immediately.

2.0. Selection Criteria:

Applicants may visit this link in order to learn more about the application criteria used in the Erasmus+ KA107 (Non-European Countries) Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments.

According to the decision of University Exchange Programs Commission made on 3 November 2016, at least 1 quota was allocated to the School of Foreign Languages. Additional quotas allocated to the School of Foreign Languages were determined in accordance with the country budget available and the number of applications received from Faculties and Institutes.

In case of having more than one application, the available budget was shared among applicants (rather than allocating whole country budget for one beneficiary). For those countries in which the budget is available to support more than one week and there is only one application, it became possible to allocate the country budget to one teaching staff.

3.0. Required Procedures for Awarded Applications:

Applicants who submitted an invitation e-mail rather than the official invitation letter during the application period should obtain and send the official invitation letter (signed and stamped) to seokur@metu.edu.tr  until   30.01.2022

4.0. Duration of the Activities:

According to KA107 program rules, duration of teaching mobility must be minimum 5 working days excluding travel time.

The teaching activity has to comprise a minimum of 8 hours for every 5 working days. For activities that will last more than 5 days, the minimum teaching hour must be calculated in proportion to the minimum requirement (e.g., 16 hours for 10 working days, 24 hours for 15 working days).

The activity must have been finalized by 31 July 2022.

If the selected participants would like to participate in the program during summer, there must be actively organized classes which involve the attendance of students (e.g. Summer Schools organized by partner HEIs etc.). Other than that, participants are expected to participate in the program during the academic year in which the partner HEIs have regular academic programs.

5.0. Required Documents:

Before the Mobility

• Official Invitation Letter (signed and stamped by the receiving institution and printed on a letterhead)
• Erasmus+ HE Staff Mobility agreement – teaching form (confirmed by all required parties; the signature of Erasmus+ institutional coordinator will be received by ICO advisor)
• Euro Account at Vakıfbank METU Branch
• Erasmus+ HE Staff Mobility Grant Agreement  (filled and signed with the help of ICO advisor)
• Health Insurance
• Electronic Copy of Plane Ticket
• Visa Document (if necessary) 

After the Mobility

• Certificate of Attendance (original document confirmed by the receiving institution)
• Boarding passes (for round trip)
• EU Survey (to be sent by ICO advisor)

6.0. Erasmus+ Grants:

6.1. Daily Grant Amounts

Daily Grant: 180 € for all countries (for mobility periods exceeding 14 days, daily grant is 126 €)

Daily grant is allowed for teaching days and travel days up to 2 days.

Even if the travel days exceed 2 days, it is not possible for beneficiaries to receive daily grants for more than 2 days of travel. In order to provide Erasmus+ funding for the travel days, the travel should take place outside of the teaching days.

Except travel days, no daily grant is paid for weekends (even if the program is for more than 1 week), if there is no officially proven teaching activity.

6.2. Travel Grant by Distance

In addition to daily grants, participants will receive a travel support as well. The travel support is a fixed amount, independent of the price of plane tickets. The travel amount is calculated by using the “Distance Calculator” below:

The distance calculator is used to determine the distance between the location where the staff is residing and the place of activity. The kilometers in distance calculated by the distance calculator corresponds to the round-trip and the amount does not get multiplied by two.

6.3. A Sample of Grant Calculation

A visit to Albania for 1 week (5 days of teaching & 2 days of travel):

Total grant = 180*5 (mobility days) + 180*2 (travel days) + 275 (travel support) = 1535 €.

A visit to Australia for 2 weeks (10 days of teaching & 2 days of travel):

Total grant = 180*10 (mobility days)  + 180*2 (travel days) + 1500 (travel support) = 3660 €.

Participants receive 70% of the total financial support at the beginning of their mobility period and the remaining 30% when the teaching programme is over.

7.0. Additional Grant for Disabled Participants:

For disabled participants, it is possible to receive additional grants to meet their specific needs. In order for the disabled staff to be given additional grants, METU ICO is required to request additional grants from the Turkish National Agency. The applications for additional grants should be made during the term of the contract, but in any case up to 60 days before the contract end date. The Turkish National Agency will evaluate each application specifically and determine whether the additional grant can be granted, and if so, the appropriate grant amount. 8.0. Objection to Selection Results:

Academic staff who would like to object to the selection results can apply to ICO with a written petition within one week from the date of the announcement. The written applications will be evaluated by the University Exchange Programs Commission.

Erasmus+ İdari Personel Eğitim Alma Hareketliliği Başvuru Sonuçları ve Uygulama Esasları / 2019-2022 bütçe dönemi (AB Üyeleri ve Program Ülkeleri)

 

1.0. Asil ve Yedek Sonuç Listesi

Erasmus+ İdari Personel Eğitim Alma Hareketliliğinden faydalanmaya hak kazanan idari personel listesi bu linkte (https://sonuc-aciklama.metu.edu.tr/index.php?result_no=215) sunulmuştur. Sisteme E-DEVLET şifreniz ile giriş yapmanız gerekmektedir.

Listelerde kullanılan ODTÜ hizmet süreleri, 04.11.2021 tarihinde Personel Dairesi Başkanlığı’ndan edinilmiştir.

Asil adaylardan çekilen olması durumunda açılan kontenjan, yedek listedeki adaylara puan sırası baz alınarak kullandırılacaktır ve ilgili katılımcıyla Uluslararası İşbirliği Ofisi tarafından bilgi sağlanacaktır.

3.0. Seçilen Personelin İzlemesi Gereken Süreç

Başvuru sırasında gidilmesi planlanan kurumdan alınan resmi kabul mektubunu teslim etmemiş olan katılımcıların ilgili kurumdan imzalı ve mühürlü davet mektubunu edinmeleri ve europeanmobility@metu.edu.tr adresine göndermeleri gerekmektedir.

Gidilecek kurumun üniversite olması durumunda ilgili üniversite ile ODTÜ arasında anlaşma olmasına gerek bulunmamaktadır. Ancak üniversitenin Erasmus+ beyannamesi olması şartı aranmaktadır. Erasmus+ kapsamında beyanname almaya hak kazanan üniversitelerin listesine aşağıdaki linkten ulaşılabilir:

4.0. Erasmus+ İdari Personel Eğitim Alma Hareketliliği için Asgarî ve Azamî Süreler

İdari personel eğitim alma hareketliliği için faaliyet süresi seyahat hariç en az 2 iş günü, en fazla 5 gün olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu sebeple program süresinin 6 günü geçmemesi (5 gün faaliyet+1 gün seyahat) gerekmektedir. Personel eğitim alma hareketliliğinde, katılım sertifikasında yararlanıcının 2 günden az süre ile faaliyet gerçekleştirdiğinin görüldüğü durumlarda, faaliyet geçersiz kabul edilir ve yararlanıcıya herhangi bir hibe ödemesi yapılmaz, yapılan hibe ödemesi de geri alınır.

2019 Proje dönemi için Erasmus+ KA103 İdari Personel Eğitim Alma Hareketliliğinin gerçekleşebileceği resmi tarihler 01.12.2021-31.05.2022 olarak belirlenmiştir.

5.0. Akademik Yılı Erasmus+ İdari Personel Eğitim Alma Hareketliliğinde Kullanılacak Belgeler

Hareketlilik Öncesinde

• Karşı kurumdan alınmış resmi davet/kabul mektubunun UİO’ya teslim edilmesi
• Erasmus+ HE Staff Mobility agreement – training formunun doldurulması ve gerekli kurumlardan imza alınarak UİO’ya teslim edilmesi (katılımcıların eğitim alma faaliyetine ilişkin programlarını ilgili formun “activities to be carried out” kısmına, programın her gününe bir eğitim alma faaliyeti olacak şekilde detaylıca eklemeleri gerekmektedir)
• ODTÜ Vakıfbank şubesinde açılmış Euro hesabı bilgilerinin UİO’ya iletilmesi ve  
• Erasmus+ Personel Hareketliliği Hibe Sözleşmesinin UİO danışmanı ile birlikte doldurulması gerekmektedir.

Hareketlilik Sonrasında

• Karşı kurum tarafından onaylanmış katılım sertifikasının orjinali ile
• Uçak bileti ve/veya biniş kartlarının UİO’ya teslim edilmesi ve
• UİO tarafından iletilecek olan çevrimiçi AB anketinin doldurularak UİO’ya bilgi verilmesi gerekmektedir.  

6.0. Erasmus+ Hibeler

6.1. Gidilen Ülkelere Göre Günlük Hibe Miktarları

Hareketlilikten faydalanacak idari personele verilecek olan gündelik miktarı gidilen ülke ile birlikte gidilen süreye göre aşağıdaki tabloda belirtilen tutarlar dikkate alınarak hesaplanır.

 

6.2. Mesafeye Göre Seyahat Desteği Tutarı

Personel hareketliliği faaliyetinden faydalanan personeline ödenecek seyahat gideri miktarı “Mesafe Hesaplayıcı” kullanılarak UİO danışmanı tarafından hesap edilir. Mesafe hesaplayıcısına aşağıdaki bağlantıdan ulaşılabilmektedir:

Mesafe hesaplayıcısı aracılığı ile personelin yerleşik olduğu yerden, faaliyet yerine kadar olan 2 nokta arasının km değeri tespit edilir ve aşağıdaki tablo kullanılarak seyahat hibesi hesaplanır. Mesafe hesaplayıcıda çıkan kilometrenin aşağıdaki tablodaki hibe karşılığı gidiş-dönüş rakamı olup, söz konusu miktar ikiyle çarpılmaz. Personelin aktarmalı olarak seyahat etmesi, yukarıda belirtilen mesafe hesaplaması ile varılan mesafeyi etkilemez.

 

7.0.  Hibesiz (“0” Hibeli) Personel Olma Durumu

Personel istediği ve kurum/birim yönetici onayı olduğu takdirde hibe almaksızın faaliyete katılabilir. Hibesiz personelin farkı, personelin bütçe hesaplamalarına dâhil edilmemesi ve kendisine hiçbir ödeme yapılmamasıdır. Hibe alınmaması personelin seçim sürecine dâhil olmamasına gerekçe değildir. Faaliyetten hibesiz faydalanılabilmesi için de başvuru yapılması ve başvurunun diğer başvurularla beraber değerlendirmeye tabi tutulması gerekmektedir.

8.0. Seçim Sonuçlarına İtiraz Süresi

Yukarıda belirtilen kriterlere göre yapılmış seçim sonuçlarına itirazı olan personelin ilan tarihinden itibaren 1 hafta içerisinde Uluslararası İşbirliği Ofisi’ne yazılı olarak başvuru yaparak itirazını dile getirmesi gerekmektedir. Yapılacak itirazlar Üniversite Değişim Programları Komisyonu tarafından değerlendirilecektir.

Türkiye Ulusal Ajansı tarafından açıklanan ve KESİN olmayan hibe dağıtım sonuçlarına göre overall puan sıralaması itibari ile ilk 234 sırada olan öğrencimizin hibe ALABİLECEĞİ ÖNGÖRÜLMEKTEDİR. Kalan öğrencilerimiz hibe sıralaması olarak "Yedek" statüsünde olacak ve herhangi öğrenci programdan çekildiğinde, yedek liste güncellenecektir. Hibe sırası size geldiği takdirde UIO danışmanınız tarafından bilgilendirileceksiniz. Bu durum ile ilgili ayrıca bir şey yapmanıza gerekli bulunmamaktadır. Kesin olmayan hibe dağıtım sonuçları ve güncel sıralamaların olduğu listeye aşağıdan ulaşılabilir:

Türkiye Ulusal Ajansı tarafından yapılan açıklamaya göre hibe sonuçları KESİN DEĞİLDİR. Üniversitemiz için öngörülen hibe miktarına dayalı bir açıklama yapılmıştır. Bu nedenle öngörülen bütçe&sayı& ve süreçlerde değişiklik meydana gelebilecektir.

Ayrıca daha önce belirtildiği üzere henüz 2021-2027 yeni Erasmus+ Programına katılım için Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ile Avrupa Komisyonu arasındaki imza süreçleri tamamlanmadığından, 2021 projesinden seçilmiş olan 2021-2022 Sonbahar dönemi öğrencilerinin hibe ödemelerinde gecikmeler olması beklenmektedir. Hibeler henüz üniversitemize tahsis edilmemiştir. 

"2021-2027 yeni Erasmus+ Programına katılım için Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ile Avrupa Komisyonu arasındaki uluslararası anlaşmaların imza süreci devam etmektedir. Bu itibarla aşağıda ilan edilen hibe tutarları geçici nitelikte olup, resmi katılım sürecinin tamamlanmasını müteakip değişiklik gösterebilir.  Yeni Erasmus+ Programına (2021-2027) katılım sürecine ilişkin resmi prosedürlerde yaşanabilecek gecikmelerden veya hibe tutarlarında daha sonra meydana gelebilecek değişikliklerden Avrupa Komisyonu ve Başkanlığımız sorumlu tutulamaz ( TÜRKİYE ULUSAL AJANSI: https://www.ua.gov.tr/haberler/2021_ka131_sartli_on_dagitim/)

Dear Students, 

The Turkish National Agency  has just announced the expected grant allocation decision to the universities. According to the results, 234 students will be able to granted according to the overall grades.  Whenever a student withdraw from the program, the waiting list will be updated. You will be informed if you get the grant later on by your ICO advisor. You do not need to do anything for this.

According to the statement made by the Turkish National Agency, the grant results are not final. A statement was made based on the grant amount foreseen for our university. Hence, there may be changes in the budget& number of granted students and the overall procedures based on the developments.

In addition, as previously stated, since the signature processes related to the program have not been completed yet, it is expected that there will be delays in the grant payments of the 2021-2022 Fall semester students selected from the 2021 project.
