Welcome to International Cooperations Office

Founded in 1992, International Cooperations Office (ICO) coordinates METU's international mobility programs such as Erasmus, Overseas Exchange and International Summer School. In particular, student mobility and internship programs as well as staff exchange programs are organized. ICO is also responsible for initiating and implementing collaborative agreements, METU's incoming exchange student flow and organizing programs for international delegations visiting METU at the university administration level.


  • NEW QUOTAS for the Application to Erasmus+ ICM Program of METU Outgoing Students in 2016-2017 Academic Year

    Erasmus+ extends beyond Europe, allowing for mobility from and to other parts of the world (between 33 Program and over 100 Partner Countries). Program Countries are those countries participating fully in the Erasmus+ program. Turkey is one of the 33 Program Countries.Outgoing students receive 650 Euro per month and also travel support ranging from 275-1100 Euro according to distance between Ankara and the city that they will study.


    2016 yaz dönemi ve 2016-2017 akademik yılında Erasmus staj faaliyeti kapsamında bir kurumdan kabul alarak ofisimize ve YİTAK Staj Konsorsiyumuna başvuruda bulunan öğrencilerin seçim süreci tamamlanmıştır. Üniversitemize ayrılan hibe miktarı dikkate alınarak hibe almaya hak kazanan öğrenciler belirlenmiştir. Hibe almaya hak kazanan öğrencilerin listesini burada görebilirsiniz.



  • GO STYRIA SCHOLARSHIP at University of Graz 2016/17

    The Go Styria call for the winter semester 2016/17 is now open:


    The scholarship scheme allows for applications to undertake RESEARCH stays at the University of Graz for the following target groups: MASTER / DOCTORAL students and POST-DOCs!

  • University of Tampere Summer School 2016

    University of Tampere Summer School will be organised between  8 – 19 August 2016. The course offering consists of seventeen courses covering various academic fields and up-to-date topics with a multidisciplinary approach.


    The application period continues until 8 May 2016.
