WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
All courses offered during the Summer Term are open to students with necessary prerequisites. However, the permission of the instructor is required. Summer Term courses, except for "Beginning Turkish" and "Contemporary Turkey", are also attended by METU students. All other courses have Turkish students in each class giving the visiting students an opportunity to meet local students.
3-credit courses meet 7 hours weekly for 6 weeks or for a total of 42 hours (this is equivalent to regular semester course).
Students will be given an official transcript issued by Middle East Technical University. An official Letter of Attendance may be issued upon request.

Students who want to join METU International Summer School can copy and complete the application form and mail or fax it to address below. Students at one of METU’s partner universities are advised to contact the Study Abroad Office at their university.

- Student certificate or a copy of diploma (if newly graduated)
- Proof of language ability (for non-native speakers of English)
Applicants accepted to the program will receive a Letter of Acceptance from METU's Registrar's Office along with other relevant information about traveling to and staying in Ankara.
All participants should be on campus on 24 June, 2015 the latest for registration, orientation and room assignments. Students who want to be met at the airport should notify the METU ICO at least two weeks before their arrival in Ankara. Summer School participants will have METU host students to help with getting to know the campus, questions and needs that may arise.
Participants who are citizens of countries who can enter Turkey on a three months visitors visa such as citizens of US, Japan, Australia, Canada and the EU can attend the summer school with this visa. Participants from other countries should consult the nearest Turkish Consulate. Please see Turkish Ministry of Foriegn Affairs web site for visa status.
