Dear Faculty/Institute Members,

The application period for Erasmus+ KA131 Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments (with EU Members and Programme Countries) will be held between 15 September-30 October, 2023.

Mobility activities within the framework of this specific call must be completed until the next application period which is 15 September 2024.

In this call, 10 (8 for European mobility, 2 for UK and Switzerland mobility)teaching staff is expected to be granted from the Erasmus+ funds.

Erasmus+ KA131 Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments (STA) is a field of activity that allows HEI teaching staff of a Turkish higher education institution (holding ECHE*) to teach and carry joint academic/educational activities at a partner HEI (holding ECHE) in the program countries.

The receiving organisation must be a Programme Country HEI awarded with an ECHE. Before the mobility takes place, both the academic department in METU and partner HEI must sign an interinstitutional agreement. The faculty members can apply only to the agreements set up in their fields. You may find the list of current Erasmus+ agreements within the framework of Erasmus+ KA131 STA here.

If applicants would like to visit a non-partner HEI, they may talk with the related institution in order to initiate Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement, ICO will provide guidance to such participants. The Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement must be finalized before mobility takes place. 

1. Application Conditions (Minimum Requirements)

1.1. Applicants must be a full-time member of METU and they must be actively working at METU at the time of application,

1.2. Applicants must be within the group employed for teaching and lecturing at METU according to the Higher Education Law No 2547. This incumbent group, based on METU personnel department are Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Professors and Instructors/Lecturers (except those who are employed with the Law No 7100) are supposed to teach and lecture. The staff who does not fall in the category but teaches in an academic unit either part-time or at their own will (without any legal requirement of their work contract, those who are not incumbent by law such as Research/Teaching Assistants or Instructors/Lecturers-the ones employed with the Law No 7100) are not eligible to apply for this program; however, they are eligible to make an application for the Erasmus+ Program of Staff Mobility for Training.

1.3. Applicants are expected to get in touch with their choice of HEI (from the attached list) and receive an acceptance letter or confirmation e-mail stating that the HEI is/will accepting them prior to the application deadline. Acceptance letter or a formal pre-acceptance e-mail must be received and uploaded to the application system until 30 October, 2023. Late submissions will not be accepted.

1.4. Applicants who could not obtain a letter of acceptance with letterhead, stamp and signature within the application period, can submit the official e-mail correspondence, which is accepted as a pre-acceptance, to the application system as an acceptance document within the application period. However, the applicants who apply with pre-acceptance e-mail must obtain a letter of acceptance from the relevant institution with letterhead, stamp and signature within 1 month after the application deadline. Sample texts containing the minimum requirements for acceptance letters and pre-acceptance e-mail are presented below. Applications whose pre-acceptance e-mail does not meet these minimum requirements will not be accepted.

2. Application Procedure & Application Documents

Step 1: Check the attached agreement list within this specific call and evaluate which university and country you prefer to visit for the mobility

Step 2: Obtain an Acceptance Letter or confirmation e-mail (either from the International Office or related academic department at the partner university). Please see item 1.4. for more details.

Step 3: Fill the application form and upload your acceptance document. All applications, selections and placements will be carried out online and through the E-Devlet Career Gate platform initiated by the Turkish National Agency: https://erasmusbasvuru.ua.gov.tr/

Application documents should not be physically transmitted, but only uploaded to the relevant section of the Application Portal.

The application portal on the E-Devlet Career Gate platform will be available between 15 September-30 October, 2023. The application platform will be closed on 30.10.2023 at 17:00 and you will not be able to upload any documents or make any changes in your application after this time.

All applications will be evaluated by METU ICO according to fair and transparent selection criteria (please see Section 3 below) and the results will be announced at E-Devlet Career Gate platform as well as on www.ico.metu.edu.tr.

Important Remarks:

1.     

Applications from those candidates who have failed to upload a pre-admission letter of confirmation from an eligible partner will not be considered in the selection process.

2.     

It is possible to apply for more than one country (3 preferences). But the applicants need to submit an acceptance letter or pre-admission e-mail for each of their preferences. If you have more than one acceptance letter, you can merge them as one pdf document and upload it in the order of your preferences.   

3. Selection Criteria

4. Duration of the Activities

The teaching activity can take place between 2 days and 5 days excluding travel time. In order to provide mobility opportunity for higher number of staff, the maximum duration of the mobility period for STA is limited to 5 days (excluding travel time) by METU Exchange Programs Commission. In all cases, a teaching activity has to comprise a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week (or any shorter period of stay). If the teaching activity/teaching hours last less than 2 days/8 hours (minimum requirement), the activity is considered as void and the grant payment is not made for the related activity. 

The activity must be completed until the next application period, which is 15 September 2024. It is not possible for the beneficiaries to conduct their mobility afterwards.

5. Erasmus+ Funding

In addition to daily grants, participants will receive a travel support as well. The travel support is a fixed amount and paid once, independent of the price of plane tickets. The travel amount is calculated by using the “Distance Calculator” below:

The distance calculator is used to determine the distance between the location where the staff is residing and the place of activity. The kilometers in distance calculated by the distance calculator corresponds to the round-trip and the amount does not get multiplied by two.

*Green Travel

In case the staff member prefers sustainable means of transport in both directions (e.g. using railway, maritime transport, car-pooling with other Erasmus+ programme beneficiaries or using bus), the distance-based travel grant is considered as green travel. The grant amount is calculated according to the relevant part of the table. Whether the staff member can be considered within the scope of green travel is determined by the submission of the relevant travel documents to the International Cooperation Office and the evaluation of the Turkish National Agency.

6. Additional Grant for Disabled Participants

For disabled participants, it is possible to receive additional grants to meet their specific needs. In order for the disabled staff to be given additional grants, METU is required to request additional grants from the Turkish National Agency. Applications for additional grants should be made during the term of the contract, but in any case, up to 60 days before the contract end date. The Turkish National Agency will evaluate each application specifically and determine whether the additional grant can be granted, and if so, the appropriate grant amount. 7. Erasmus Staff Mobility without Grant (Zero-Grant)

It is possible to participate in Erasmus+ KA131 programme without getting any grant. Those staff members who would like to participate in the programme on a zero-grant basis need to submit an application to ICO under the current call and their applications will be evaluated along with all the others. Those participants with zero grant also have to fulfill the obligations of the program.

2022 & 2023 Proje Dönemleri  

Değerli ODTÜ Mensupları,

Erasmus+ KA171 Projesi, Eğitim Alma Programı Personel Hareketliliği başvuruları (2022 & 2023 proje dönemleri kapsamında) 15 Eylül-30 Ekim, 2023 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilecektir.

Bu faaliyet kapsamında idari görev yapmak üzere istihdam edilen personelin mevcut işi ile ilgili konularda sahip olduğu becerileri geliştirmek üzere çeşitli eğitimler (işbaşı eğitimleri, gözlem süreçleri, organize personel hareketliliği haftaları gibi) alması mümkündür. Bu faaliyette personelin mevcut kurum ve biriminde verdiği hizmetlerin kalitesini attırması, iyi uygulama örneklerini kurumuna ve birimine aktarması ve bu yönde bir tecrübe edinmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Konferans katılımları ise faaliyet kapsamında desteklenememektedir.

Uluslararası İş Birlikleri Ofisi tarafından, Erasmus+ Personel Hareketliliği Faaliyeti ve mevcut başvuru süreçleri ile ilgili 5 Ekim, 2023 Perşembe günü 14:00-15:00 saatleri arasında çevrimiçi bir toplantı düzenlenecektir. Programlara ilişkin soruları olan mensuplarımız, ilgili toplantıya katılım sağlayarak  sorularını yöneltebilirler. 1. Partner Listesi

Erasmus+ KA171 Projesi Eğitim Alma Programı Personel Hareketliliği kapsamında gidilecek kurum ile ODTÜ arasında Erasmus+ anlaşmasının bulunması şartı aranmamakta, ancak ilgili kurumun aşağıdaki listede belirtilen ülke grubu içinde yer alması gerekmektedir. Anlaşmalı bir üniversiteye gidilmek istenmesi durumunda ise, personel hareketliliğine yönelik üniversitemizin mevcut anlaşma listesi ekte görülebilir. Personelin, eğitim almak üzere ortak ülkede akademik olmayan bir kuruma gidebilmesi mümkün değildir; hareketlilik gerçekleştirilecek kurumun bir yükseköğretim kurumu olması beklenmektedir. 

Yükseköğretim kurumları Erasmus+ Personel Eğitim Alma Hareketliliği kapsamında kabul edecekleri personel için haftalık özel programlar düzenleyebilmektedirler. Bu programlar Üniversitenin çeşitli birimlerinde çalışan personele açık olabilmektedir. 2. Başvuru Koşulları

ODTÜ Personel Dairesi Başkanlığı tarafından ODTÜ'de "üniversite personeli" olarak tanımlanan Üniversitemiz bünyesindeki tüm personel “Eğitim Alma Hareketliliği” programına başvuru yapabilirler.

Adayların başvuru sırasında ODTU mensubu ve fiilen görev yapıyor olmaları gerekmektedir.

Tercih edilen kurum(lar) ile son başvuru tarihi olan 30 Ekim 2023 tarihinden önce iletişim kurulmuş ve kabul mektuplarının veya ön kabul e-maillerinin alınmış olması beklenmektedir. Başvuru süresi içerisinde antetli, kaşeli ve imzalı kabul mektubu alamayan personelimiz, ön kabul niteliği taşıyan resmi e-posta yazışmalarını başvuru dönemi içerisinde başvuru sistemine kabul belgesi olarak sunabilirler. Fakat ön kabul ile başvuruda bulunan personelin, başvuru son tarihinden itibaren 1 ay içerisinde ilgili kurumdan antetli, kaşeli ve imzalı kabul mektubu almaları gerekmektedir. Kabul mektupları ve ön kabullerin taşıması gereken asgari şartları içeren örnek metinler aşağıda sunulmuştur; bu asgari şartları taşımayan ön kabuller ile yapılan başvurular kabul edilmeyecektir. İlgili ön kabulün karşı kurumlarda rektörlük/dekanlık düzeyinde olması şartı aranmamaktadır, faaliyetin gerçekleşeceği birimden onay alınması yeterlidir. Karşı kurumların kendi davet mektubu formatlarını kullanmaları da mümkündür.

Adaylar en fazla 3 ülke için başvuru yapabilirler. Birden fazla ülkeye başvuran adayların en çok istedikleri ülkeyi ilk tercihlerine yazmaları ve tercihlerini sıralamaları gerekmektedir. Başvurulan her ülke için bir üniversiteden ön kabul alınması gerekmektedir. Bu durumda adaylar, ilgili kabul mektuplarını tercih sıralarına göre tek bir PDF dokümanı haline getirerek başvuru sistemine yükleyebilirler.

3. Başvuru Belgeleri

1) Online başvuru formu; tüm başvuru ve sonuç işlemleri E-Devlet Kariyer Kapısı platformu üzerinden (https://erasmusbasvuru.ua.gov.tr/) yürütülecektir. Adayların bu platform üzerinden başvurularını tamamlamaları ve başvuru belgelerini de bu platforma yüklemeleri gerekmektedir. Başvuru platformu 15 Eylül-30 Ekim tarihleri arasında açık olacak ve 30 Ekim, 2023 tarihinde saat 17:00’da kapanacaktır. İlgili tarih ve saatten sonra gelen başvurular değerlendirmeye alınmayacaktır.

Başvuru formuna ilişkin rehber ekte görülebilir. 

2) Tercih edilen kurumlardan alınan onaylı ön kabul mektubu/mesajı (başvuru sistemine yüklenmesi gerekmektedir; ön kabul gereklilikleri için lütfen 2 nolu başlıktaki örnekleri kontrol ediniz).

3) Yabancı Dil Belgesi: Seçim kriterleri belgesinde de görülebileceği üzere adaylara, başvuru sırasında yeterli yabancı dil bilgisine sahip olduğunu (minimum koşullar: YDS ve YÖKDİL C Seviye, ODTÜ İYS 59.5, IELTS 6.0, TOEFL IBT 75) belgelemeleri halinde, ek puan verilecektir. Söz konusu ek puanı alabilmek için yukarıda belirtilen sınav sonuç belgelerine ek olarak, %100 İngilizce dilde eğitim yapan bir üniversiteden lisans veya lisansüstü diploması almış olan mensuplarımız için ilgili diploma örneğini sunmaları da yeterli olacaktır. ODTÜ Yabancı Diller Yüksekokulu (YDYO) tarafından idari personele yönelik düzenlenen İngilizce kurslarının “advanced” seviyesindeki kurunun tamamladığına dair onaylı sertifika da kabul edilmektedir.   Yabancı dil belgelerinin son başvuru tarihine (30 Ekim, 2023) kadar sisteme yüklenmesi gerekmektedir; başvuru dönemi içinde başvuru sistemine yabancı dil belgesi yüklememiş adaylara artı puan verilemeyecektir.

4. Seçim Kriterleri

Erasmus+ KA171 Personel Eğitim Alma Hareketliliği başvurularında kullanılan seçim kriterleri ekte görülebilir.

Ulusal Ajans Uygulama El Kitabı’na göre Eğitim Alma Faaliyetinde “idari personel önceliklendirilir.” Söz konusu uygulamaya istinaden; ODTÜ Personel Dairesi Başkanlığı tarafından alınan veriye göre idari kadrosu bulunan (görev birimi ve iş tanımından bağımsız olarak kadro itibariyle) tüm personel, öncelik puanı verilecek aday grubudur.

Yerleştirme puanlarının yetmesi ve uygun hibe ve kota kalması durumlarında öncelik puanı verilmeyen diğer personellerin de yerleştirilmeleri yapılabilecek ve bu adaylar da Personel Eğitim Alma Faaliyeti’nden diğer gruplar gibi yararlanabilecektir.

5. Personel Eğitim Alma Hareketliliği için Asgari ve Azami Süreler

Personel eğitim alma hareketliliği için faaliyet süresi, seyahat hariç en az 5 iş günü olmalıdır. Personel eğitim alma hareketliliğinde, katılım sertifikasında yararlanıcının 5 günden az süre ile faaliyet gerçekleştirdiği durumlarda, faaliyet geçersiz kabul edilir ve yararlanıcıya herhangi bir hibe ödemesi yapılmaz. Hibe hesaplamaları yapılırken minimum 5 günlük faaliyet süresine ek olarak 2 gün de seyahat gününe hibe sağlanır. Ancak seyahat günü hibesinin sağlanabilmesi için seyahat günlerinin faaliyet süresine dâhil olmaması gerekmektedir.

Üniversitemiz bünyesinde daha çok sayıda personelin programdan yararlanmasını sağlamak amacıyla, ilgili bölge bütçesine göre, maksimum hareketlilik süresi 1 veya 2 hafta olarak belirlenmiştir. Talebin yüksek olması durumunda, hareketlilik süresi tüm bölgeler için 1 hafta ile sınırlandırılabilecektir.

Partner listesindeki “Maksimum Hareketlilik Süresi” kısmı, ilgili bölgede hibelendirilebilecek maksimum faaliyet süresini göstermektedir. Ancak, diğer hareketlilik türlerinden kalan bütçeler ve programlara katılmaktan vazgeçen yararlanıcılar göz önünde bulundurularak yerleştirme aşamasında daha fazla katılımcının yerleştirilmesi de mümkün olabilir. Bir haftadan daha uzun hareketlilikleri desteklemek üzere hibe bulunan bölgelerde, yalnızca bir başvuru olması durumunda, tüm bölge bütçesinin bir adaya verilmesi mümkündür. Birden fazla başvuru olması durumunda ise mevcut bölge bütçesi, program kuralları kapsamında en yüksek puanlı adaylar arasında min. 1 hafta olacak şekilde paylaştırılacaktır.

Eğitim alma faaliyetinin, bir sonraki başvuru dönemi olan 15 Eylül, 2024 tarihine kadar gerçekleşmesi gerekmektedir.

6. Erasmus+ Hibe Miktarları

6. 1. Erasmus+ Günlük Hibe Miktarları

Erasmus+ KA171 Personel Eğitim Alma faaliyetinden yararlanacak personele verilecek olan gündelik hibe miktarı tüm ülkeler için günlük 180 Avro’dur. 14 günü aşan hareketliliklerde günlük hibe miktarı 126 Avro olmaktadır. Programdan hibesiz olarak yararlanmak da mümkündür.

Toplam seyahat süresinin 2 günü aştığı durumlarda aşan günler için hibe ödenmemektedir (seyahat günleri için maksimum 2 günlük ödenir). Seyahat günleri adına bireysel hibe ödemesi yapılabilmesi için seyahat günlerinin, eğitim alma faaliyetinin gerçekleştiği günlerden farklı günlerde gerçekleşmesi gerekmektedir.

6.2. Mesafeye Göre Seyahat Desteği Tutarı

Personel hareketliliği faaliyetinden faydalanan personeline ödenecek seyahat gideri miktarı “Mesafe Hesaplayıcı” kullanılarak hesap edilmektedir.

Seyahat desteği çift yönlü bilet ücretinden bağımsız olarak, sabit ve tek seferlik verilmektedir. Gidiş-dönüş bilet ücreti toplam seyahat desteğinden fazla olursa ek seyahat desteği verilemeyecek, az olursa da kalan meblağ geri istenmeyecektir.

Katılımcılar, seyahat ayarlamalarını yapmakla yükümlüdür. Uluslararası İş Birliği Ofisi, katılımcıların seyahat ayarlamaları veya uçak bileti temininde herhangi bir görev almamaktadır.

Mesafe hesaplayıcısı aracılığı ile personelin yerleşik olduğu yerden, faaliyet yerine kadar olan 2 nokta arasının km değeri tespit edilmeli ve aşağıdaki tablo kullanılarak seyahat hibesi hesaplanmalıdır. Mesafe hesaplayıcıda çıkan kilometrenin aşağıdaki tablodaki hibe karşılığı gidiş-dönüş rakamı olup, söz konusu miktar ikiyle çarpılmaz. Personelin aktarmalı olarak seyahat etmesi, yukarıda belirtilen mesafe hesaplaması ile varılan mesafeyi etkilemez.

*Yeşil Seyahat

Personelin her iki yönde de sürdürülebilir ulaşım araçlarını tercih etmesi durumunda (örneğin demiryolu, deniz taşımacılığı, diğer Erasmus+ programı yararlanıcılarıyla araç paylaşımı veya otobüs kullanımı), mesafeye dayalı seyahat hibesi, yeşil seyahat olarak kabul edilir. Hibe miktarı tablonun ilgili kısmına göre hesaplanır. Personelin yeşil seyahat kapsamında değerlendirilip değerlendirilemeyeceği ilgili seyahat belgelerinin Uluslararası İşbirliği Ofisine iletilmesi ve Türkiye Ulusal Ajansının değerlendirilmesi ile belirlenmektedir.

6.3. Örnek Hibe Hesaplaması

Örneğin Arnavutluk’ta gerçekleşecek 5 günlük eğitim alma faaliyeti için aşağıdaki şekilde hibe hesaplaması yapılır:

180*5 (hareketlilik günleri) + 180*2 (seyahat günleri) + 275 (seyahat desteği) = 1535 €.

Toplam program hibesinin (bireysel destek + seyahat desteği) %70’i hareketlilik programının başında, %30’u ise hareketlilik faaliyetinin tamamlanmasının ardından yatırılmaktadır.

7. Hibesiz Yararlanma Durumu

İdari personelin kurum/birim yönetici onayı olduğu takdirde hibe almaksızın faaliyete katılması mümkündür. Hibesiz personelin farkı, personelin bütçe hesaplamalarına dâhil edilmemesi ve kendisine hiçbir ödeme yapılmamasıdır. Hibe alınmaması personelin seçim sürecine dâhil olmamasına gerekçe değildir. Faaliyetten hibesiz faydalanılabilmesi için de başvuru yapılması ve başvurunun diğer başvurularla beraber değerlendirmeye tabi tutulması gerekmektedir.

8. Engelli Yararlanıcılar için Ek Hibe Desteği

Erasmus+ Programına katılan engelli yararlanıcılara aldıkları standart hibelerine ek olarak özel ihtiyaçlarına yardımcı olmak üzere ilave hibe verilebilmektedir. Engelli öğrenci ve personele fazla hibe verilebilmesi için yararlanıcı yükseköğretim kurumu tarafından Merkezden ilave hibe talebinde bulunulması gerekmektedir. İlave hibe talebi sözleşme dönemi içerisinde, ama her hal ve durumda sözleşme bitiş tarihinden 60 gün öncesine kadar yapılabilir. Merkez her bir başvuruyu özel olarak değerlendirir; ilave hibe verilip verilemeyeceğini, verilebilecekse uygun hibe miktarını kararlaştırır. 1. Partner List and Quotas

Please find the list of countries and partner universities which can be visited under this call. Applicants may also see the same list for the quotas allocated to related countries and regions.

The Program budget can only be used for mobility to a partner university listed in this specific call. The Erasmus+ KA171 does not provide funding for mobility in non-partner universities.

Concerning the countries which require visa, applicants are advised to check visa requirements and the deadline when the project activities must be completed.

Please be kindly reminded that the partner list and the total budget for maximum weeks are subject to change. The potential budget for maximum weeks may increase depending on the availability through the length of other mobility types & participants/applicants’ withdrawal. Please also be noted that country quotas indicated in the same region can be used for other countries of the region as well.

2. Application Conditions (Minimum Requirements)

2.1. Applicants must be a full-time member of METU and they must be actively working at METU at the time of application,

2.2. Applicants must be within the group employed for teaching and lecturing at METU according to the Higher Education Law No 2547. This incumbent group, based on METU personnel department are Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Professors and Instructors/Lecturers (except those who are employed with the Law No 7100) who are supposed to teach and lecture. The staff who does not fall in the category but teaches in an academic unit either part-time or at their own will (without any legal requirement of their work contract, those who are not incumbent by law such as Research/Teaching Assistants or Instructors/Lecturers-the ones employed with the Law No 7100) are not eligible to apply for this program; however, they are eligible to make an application for the Erasmus+ Program of Staff Mobility for Training.

2.3. Applicants are expected to get in touch with their choice of HEI (from the attached list) and receive an acceptance letter or confirmation e-mail stating that the HEI is/will accepting them prior to the application deadline. Acceptance letter or a formal pre-acceptance e-mail must be received and uploaded to the application system until 30 October, 2023. Late submissions will not be accepted.

2.4. Applicants who could not obtain a letter of acceptance with letterhead, stamp and signature within the application period, can submit the official e-mail correspondence, which is accepted as a pre-acceptance, to the application system as an acceptance document within the application period. However, the applicants who apply with pre-acceptance e-mail must obtain a letter of acceptance from the relevant institution with letterhead, stamp and signature within 1 month after the application deadline. Sample texts containing the minimum requirements for acceptance letters and pre-acceptance e-mail are presented below. Applications whose pre-acceptance e-mail does not meet these minimum requirements will not be accepted.

3. Application Procedure & Application Documents

Step 1: Check the attached Partner list  eligible for Erasmus+ funding within this specific call and evaluate which university and country you prefer to visit for the mobility

Step 2: Obtain an Acceptance Letter or confirmation e-mail (either from the International Office or related academic department at the partner university). Please see item 2.4. for more details.

Step 3: Fill the application form and upload your acceptance document. All applications, selections and placements will be carried out online and through the E-Devlet Career Gate platform initiated by the Turkish National Agency: https://erasmusbasvuru.ua.gov.tr/

Application documents should not be physically transmitted, but only uploaded to the relevant section of the Application Portal.

The application portal on the E-Devlet Career Gate platform will be available between 15 September-30 October, 2023. The application platform will be closed on 30.10.2023 at 17:00 and you will not be able to upload any documents or make any changes in your application after this time.

You can find the details about the application portal in the User Guide. 

All applications will be evaluated by METU ICO according to fair and transparent selection criteria (please see Section 4 below) and the results will be announced at E-Devlet Career Gate platform as well as on www.ico.metu.edu.tr.

Important Remarks:

1.    Applications from those candidates who have failed to upload a pre-admission letter of confirmation from an eligible partner will not be considered in the selection process.

2.    It is possible to apply for more than one countries (3 preferences). But the applicants need to submit an acceptance letter or pre-admission e-mail for each of their preferences. If you have more than one acceptance letter, you can merge them as one pdf document and upload it in the order of your preferences.   

4. Selection Criteria

To find more information on the selection criteria used in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility applications, please see the attached document.

5. Duration of the Activities

According to KA171 program rules, duration of teaching mobility ranges from 5 days to 2 months (max.) excluding travel time. In order to learn the maximum duration of the teaching activity that can be funded, please check the attached Partner list for this call.

In the list, “maximum week” column indicates the maximum number of weeks available for funding in the related country budget. For those countries in which the budget is available to support more than one week, it may be possible to allocate the whole budget to one teaching staff, if there is only one applicant. In case of having more than one application, the available budget will be shared among applicants according to program rules.

Please be aware that the partner list and the total budget for maximum weeks are subject to change and they might be updated during the application period. While evaluating the application results, total budget for maximum weeks may increase depending on the availability of budget that may become available through the length of other mobility types and applicants/participants’ withdrawals. Also, if a new inter-institutional agreement gets signed, this agreement will be added to the lit during the application period.

The teaching activity has to be comprised of a minimum of 8 hours of teaching and 5 days of activity and there must be a teaching activity for each day of the mobility. For teaching activities that will last more than one-week, minimum teaching hours will be calculated in proportion to the minimum requirement (e.g., 16 hours/2 weeks, 24 hours/3 weeks).

Important Remarks:

1.  If the teaching activity/teaching hours last less than the minimum requirements (min. 5 days and 8 hours of teaching), the Erasmus+ mobility will be considered as invalid by the funding body. In this case, the grant payment will not be made for the related activity.

2.  The activity must be completed until the next application period, which is 15 September 2024. It is not possible for the beneficiaries to conduct their mobility afterwards.

6. Erasmus+ Funding  

6.1. Daily Grant Amounts

Daily Grant: 180 € per day for all countries (for mobility periods exceeding 14 days, daily grant is 126 €)

Daily grant is allowed for teaching days and travel days up to 2 days.

Even if the travel days exceed 2 days, it is not possible for beneficiaries to receive daily grants for more than 2 days of travel. In order to provide Erasmus+ funding for the travel days, the travel should take place outside of the teaching days.

6.2. Travel Amount by Distance

In addition to daily grants, participants will receive a travel support as well. The travel support is a fixed amount and paid once, independent of the price of plane tickets. The travel amount is calculated by using the “Distance Calculator” below:

The distance calculator is used to determine the distance between the location where the staff is residing and the place of activity. The kilometers in distance calculated by the distance calculator corresponds to the round-trip and the amount does not get multiplied by two.

*Green Travel

In case the staff member prefers sustainable means of transport in both directions (e.g. using railway, maritime transport, car-pooling with other Erasmus+ programme beneficiaries or using bus), the distance-based travel grant is considered as green travel. The grant amount is calculated according to the relevant part of the table. Whether the staff member can be considered within the scope of green travel is determined by the submission of the relevant travel documents to the International Cooperation Office and the evaluation of the Turkish National Agency.

6.3. A Sample of Grant Calculation

A visit to Albania for 1 week (5 days of teaching & 2 days of travel):

Total grant = 180*5 (mobility days) + 180*2 (travel days) + 275 (travel support) = 1535 €.

Please be informed that participants receive 70% of the total financial support at the beginning of their mobility period and the remaining 30% when the teaching programme is over.

Please also be kindly reminded that participants are responsible for arranging their travel and METU International Cooperations Office is not responsible for travel arrangements and purchasing plane ticket.

7. Additional Grant for Disabled Participants

For disabled participants, it is possible to receive additional grants to meet their specific needs. In order for the disabled staff to be given additional grants, METU is required to request additional grants from the Turkish National Agency. Applications for additional grants should be made during the term of the contract, but in any case, up to 60 days before the contract end date. The Turkish National Agency will evaluate each application specifically and determine whether the additional grant can be granted, and if so, the appropriate grant amount. 8. Erasmus Staff Mobility without Grant (Zero-Grant)

It is possible to participate in Erasmus+ KA171 programme without getting any grant. Those staff members who would like to participate in the programme on a zero-grant basis need to submit an application to ICO under the current call and their applications will be evaluated along with all the others. Those participants with zero grant also have to fulfill the obligations of the program.

Bir üniversiteye yerleştirilmiş ancak en üst ilk 196 kişi arasında yer bulamayan öğrencilerimiz hibe sıralaması olarak "Yedek" statüsünde olacak ve ilk 196 kişiden herhangi bir öğrenci programdan çekildiğinde, yedek liste güncellenecektir. Hibe sırası size geldiği takdirde Uluslararası İş Birlikleri Ofisi (UIO) danışmanınız tarafından bilgilendirileceksiniz. Daha önce duyurulduğu üzere, Erasmus programından geri çekilme son tarihi 18 Ağustos 2023 Cuma günü saat 23:59 olarak güncellenmiştir. Erasmus hareketliliklerinden çekilmek isteyen öğrenciler, gelecekteki Erasmus başvurularında puan kesintisi olmaması için belirtilen son tarihe kadar UİO danışmanlarına programdan çekilme taleplerini belirten bir e-posta göndermelidir.

2023-2024 Erasmus+ Student Mobility Grants in Euros (monthly)

As previously announced, the withdrawal deadline for 2023 Project Budget Erasmus+ KA131 (European Mobility Program) Student Mobility for Studies in the 2023-2024 Academic Year has been extended to 18 August 2023 Friday 23:59. Students who wish to withdraw from their Erasmus mobilities can send an e-mail stating their request to their ICO advisors until the deadline in order not to receive a point reduction in their future Erasmus applications.

BAŞVURU TARİHİNİN SONA ERMESİ VE YETERLİ SAYIDA BAŞVURU ALINMASI NETİCESİNDE AŞAĞIDA DUYURULAN ÖĞRENCİ ASİSTANI ALIM SÜRECİ TAMAMLANMIŞTIR.

Uluslararası İşbirliği Ofisi (UİO) bünyesinde kısmi zamanlı çalıştırılmak üzere 5 adet öğrenci asistanı alımı yaplacaktır.

Kriterler:

a) Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi’ne kayıtlı (özel öğrenci hariç) lisans düzeyinde öğrenci olmak,

b) Disiplin cezası almamış ve/veya hakkında herhangi bir disiplin soruşturması açılmamış olmak,

c) Kayıt donduran öğrenci olmamak,

ç) yabancı uyruklu öğrenci olmamak,

d) Normal eğitim-öğretim süresi içerisinde öğrenim görüyor olmak, kısmi zamanlı öğrenci olarak görevlendirildiği dönemde eğitimini hiçbir şekilde uzatmamış olduğunu belgelemek.

e) En az 3. dönem öğrencisi olmak,

f) Genel not ortalamasının en az 2.50 / 4.00 olması,

g) Yetim maaşı ve nafaka hariç, asgari ücret düzeyinde bir gelire sahip olmamak.

h) Daha önce sözleşmeye aykırılık nedeniyle sözleşmesi feshedilmemiş olmak.

Çalışma Şartları:

a) Öğrenci asistanları haftada 15 saat fiziksel olarak UİO'da görev yapacak ve bu çalışması karşılığında saatlik net 15,68 TL ödeme alacaktır.

b) Öğrenci asistanı adayı, UİO'yu ziyaret eden yabancı uyruklu öğrenci ve personellerle iletişim sağlamasına olanak tanıyacak düzeyde İngilizce bilmelidir.

c) Öğrenci asistanı adayı, basit ofis görevlerini başarıyla tamamlayabilecek düzeyde genel bilgisayar ve Microsoft Office programları bilmelidir.

Türkiye ile Avrupa Komisyonu arasında yıllık imzalanan katkı anlaşmasının imza süreci devam ettiği için ilan edilen hibe tutarları geçici nitelikte olup, imza sürecinin tamamlanması sonrasında değişiklik gösterebilecektir.

Yukarıda açıklandığı üzere hibelendirilen öğrenci sayısı program ülke gruplarına göre belirlenmiş ve Üniversitemize tahsis edilmesi öngörülen toplam bütçe, tüm hareketlilik programlarından (öğrenim, staj, kısa doktora, personel hareketliliklerinden ve Karma Yoğun-BIP programlarından) yaralan kişi sayısını en üst ve optimum düzeyde tutmak üzere dağıtılmıştır. Üniversitemiz bünyesinde Erasmus+ öğrenim programlarına yerleştirilmiş öğrencilerimizin çoğunluğu 1. ve 2. Grup program ülkelerini tercih edip bu gruptaki ülkelere yerleştirildiğinden, hibelendirilen öğrenci sayısı, Türkiye Ulusal Ajansı'nın öngördüğü sayılara göre değişiklik gösterebilmektedir. Bu durumun sebebi Türkiye Ulusal Ajansı’nın öngörülen hibeli öğrenci sayısını belirlerken 1., 2. ve 3. Grup program ülkelerinin ortalama hibe tutarlarını baz alması ve ortalama bir Erasmus+ öğrenim süresini göz önünde bulundurmasıdır. Ancak, Üniversitemiz öğrencileri hem hibesi daha yüksek olan 1. ve 2. Grup ülkeleri tercih edip yerleşmekte hem de Almanya gibi eğitim süresi ortalamanın üstünde süren ülkelere daha çok hareketlilik gerçekleştirmektedirler.

Dolayısıyla hem tüm hareketlilik programlarında optimum düzeyde yararlanıcı sayısına ulaşmak amacıyla hem de ülke gruplarının hibe tutarlarındaki farklılıklar nedeniyle, Türkiye Ulusal Ajansı’nın ortalama öğrenci sayısı ile Üniversitemiz ortalama öğrenci sayısı arasında fark oluşabilmektedir.

Dear Students, 

The Turkish National Agency has announced the estimated grant allocation decision to the universities. The grant allocation is subject to change and is NOT the final result. According to the grant amount that is planned to be allocated to METU,  the first 196 students according to the overall grades will have the “granted” status. Whenever a student withdraws from the program, the waiting list will be updated. You will be informed if you get the grant later on by your ICO advisor.  

As the signature process of the annual contribution agreement between Turkey and the European Commission is ongoing, the announced grant amounts are provisional and may change after the signature process is completed.

The number of granted students is determined according to the program country groups. Also, the optimum number of beneficiaries from all mobility programs (studies, traineeship, short-term doctoral mobility, staff mobilities and BIP) are sought while distributing the total estimated grant amount. Since most of our students have been placed to 1st and 2nd Group program countries and the budget is allocated to all mobility programs optimally, the number of granted students might differ from the number envisaged by the Turkish National Agency, which uses the average grant amounts of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Group program countries for an average mobility period.
