We trust this email finds you and your colleagues in good health and high spirits.Kasetsart University is pleased to announce the KU CHIC Challenge 2025 (Kasetsart University – Creative Horizons in Innovation for Change) sustainable food innovation competition, themed "From Farm Fields to Gastronomic Feasts: Innovate for a Greener Planet."
We are delighted to invite university students from our partner institutions across Asia to participate in this competition. The competition aims to provide a platform for high school and university students from Thailand and other Asian countries to show their knowledge, skills, and creativity in applying gastronomy principles to develop food innovations that promote environmental conservation.
Additionally, this event will encourage participants to embrace and respect local ingredients from their respective countries to promote sustainable local development. The finalists will also have a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in local community life and explore Thailand's food culture at Kasetsart University's research station.
The winning teams will receive a prize of 10,000 THB, and the runner-up teams will receive 8,000 THB.
The KU CHIC Challenge 2025 will consist of three rounds as follows:
1. Preliminary Round: Applicants are required to submit a video clip in English, not exceeding 3 minutes, in an online format.
2. Presentation and Q&A Round: Applicants must present their concepts in English to a judging panel, presenting their creativity and feasibility. This round will also include an online question-and-answer session.
3. Final Round: Selected applicants will need to travel to the Kasetsart University research station in Thailand to participate in the final competition. (** Flight tickets, accommodation, and meals will be provided to all finalists**)
Preliminary Round submissions are accepted from 15 October to 15 November 2025.
