The International Relations Department of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is proud to announce its 3rd International Staff Week which will be held face-to-face from the 21st to the 25th of April, 2024.

The theme of the event will be “Priorities, Internship Opportunities, and ICM – New Erasmus+ era for Bosnia and Herzegovina 2023-2027”. Following the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina is given the status of a “candidate” country for the EU and that the IUS as a leading private HEI from BiH is a proud holder of the ECHE Charter, we are aiming to explore and compare our priorities and opportunities with the partner universities from other European countries.
The event is designed for academic and administrative staff from our partner/non-partner universities around the globe. The program will be divided into separate tracks and teaching activities will be organized for those who decide to attend the event through STA mobility opportunities available between IUS and our partner universities.
Participants of both types (STT & STA) are expected to actively engage in discussions, share experiences, and possibly be open to new cooperation bonds.

A detailed program is attached to this email.
Funding
As a non-EU university, we do not receive any financial support through ERASMUS+ or any other source to provide funding for the participants. Therefore, those interested and eligible should cover the cost of travel, accommodation, and some of the meals. Where applicable, the funding might be available from the Erasmus+ K107 or K171/131 grants distributed by the home university. We invite candidates to check the availability of such funding with their home institution prior to submitting their application. Please note that the Erasmus+ program requires the home and host universities to have signed an Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) before the grant can be obtained. Please consult with your International Relations and/or ERASMUS offices in order to check the availability of IIA (and a staff mobility grant thereafter) between your home institution and IUS.
Registration deadline: Friday, 15th March, 2024
Registration should be done through the relevant International Relations Office. Each office is requested to nominate its staff members via email  (mobility@ius.edu.ba) with the following details: Name-Surname-Position (Academic or Administrative) - contact details

We would kindly ask you to nominate your staff members for this event, to use quotas in accordance with our IIA, and to encourage your colleagues to choose the ISW over the individual realization of mobility.
Participation fee: 100 euros. The fee covers a welcome package, as well as several meals and a social program as listed in the program. Payment can be made in Euros upon arrival in cash.
Working language: English. We highly recommend at least a B2 (according to CEFR) level in communication.
