Greetings from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU)! We are delighted to formally invite you to participate in the 4th XJTLU Global Dream-Chaser Entrepreneurship Competition—a flagship event dedicated to empower students worldwide to turn innovative ideas into impactful ventures. As a globally oriented competition, we take great pride in sharing that the previous edition attracted 522 projects from 18 countries, fostering cross-cultural innovation and collaboration. This year, we aim to further expand this global network, and we warmly welcome your students to join and showcase their entrepreneurial potential.

 

Key Competition Information

1. Competition Overview

Hosted by Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, the competition features two tracks to cater to different entrepreneurial stages:

1.         Idea Track: Focuses on nurturing creative concepts, with no requirement for physical products or market feedback (ideal for early-stage innovations).

2.         Mature Business Project Track: Emphasizes feasibility and commercial potential, requiring teams to submit product prototypes, business models, and initial market validation data.

Teams register via the official website, download the PPT guide/template, and submit the preliminary PPT.

Preliminary Round Evaluation

October 27 – December 9, 2025

Evaluation of submitted projects; announcement of 100 teams shortlisted for the Semi-Finals.

Semi-Finals Submission

December 9, 2025 – February 16, 2026

Shortlisted teams submit a 3–6 minute video (mp4 format, <500MB).

Semi-Finals Evaluation

February 16 – March 10, 2026

Evaluation of semi-final videos; announcement of 60 teams shortlisted for the Finals.

Finals Submission & Competition

March 10 – April 10, 2026

Finalists submit the final PPT; the Finals (with 8-minute presentations + 5-minute Q&A) and Award Ceremony will be held on April 10, 2026.

 

3. Preliminary Round Requirements

To ensure compliance, please note the requirements for preliminary submission:

1.         Team Composition: Minimum 2 members (undergraduates, postgraduates, or doctoral students); each member can only join one team, and each team submits one project.

2.         PPT Specifications: A 6-page PPT covering: Cover Page, Project Background, Core Technology, Market Opportunity, Business Model, and Team Structure.

1.         No animations or embedded videos are allowed in the PPT.

2.         File naming format: “Project Name + School Name” (non-compliant submissions may be disqualified).
