The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan is pleased to announce the implementation of the "Internships in Japan for AI and Tech Talent" program. This program provides valuable opportunities for interns from the Global South to gain hands-on experience in various technologies and skills at Japanese companies, irrespective of their Japanese language proficiency. It includes a coding contest for students and individuals studying in IT and AI-related fields, followed by internships at Japanese companies.
The program also aims to provide Japanese companies with the opportunity to connect with talented overseas IT and AI professionals, while establishing a framework for integrating high-level foreign talent who may not possess proficiency in the Japanese language.

Eligibility:
- Must be expected to graduate from, or have graduated from a university, junior college, technical college or a higher education institution.
- If you have already graduated, your graduation must have been within the past three years.
Skill Assessment Contest for AI and IT:
- AI Contest: June 21-June 22
- IT Contest: June 28-June 29
- Internship Period: October 31 to December 15
- Location: In person (at a designated office in Japan)
