The Asia Institute is welcoming applicants now until June 30 for a virtual project-based competition taking place in July, and hosted by the International Business School of Suzhou at Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University in China (XJTLU). There is not cost for students to participate. The program is short (4 weeks, July 11th to August 5th 2022) and intense (as students will need to be creative in order to communicate and work across time zones – for example, share videos and emails to prepare a final presentation on their findings in groups).  To confirm their participation, we will be asking students to submit a commitment form to be sure they understand the schedule and their task.  You can learn more here:https://asiainstitute.org/services/education-abroad/landing-page/?entry-key=s0tlj

The flyer of the event is attached. There is a link on the flyer from which they can connect to the webpage and register.  A hyperlink is here as well:

The projects are at ‘real world’ companies and organizations in Asia, and students will meet with representatives of these sites, learn about an issue or challenge they are seeking help to solve, and the students will do the research and present their findings.  Specific United National Sustainable Development Goals serve as a lens for each of the projects.

The Asia Institute would provide feedback for students upon completion of the program, confirming their attendance and offering input on their contributions.  It is intended to include 60 contact hours.

If you have any questions, please contact ann.hubbard@asiainstitute.org. , as mentioned in the project flyer in the attachment.
