Greetings from Portugal!
We are pleased to invite you to the 1st International Staff Training Week 2025, organised by the Social Services of the University of Porto, in the city of Porto, Portugal, from 01 to 05 September 2025.
The aim of the 1st International Week of the Social Services of the University of Porto (SASUP) is to promote a place for exchange and sharing of experiences between professionals from different higher education institutions, with a focus on student support areas such as social services, health, accommodation, food, international mobility, and other support services essential for the well-being and integration of students.
The Week also has as its purpose:
- Celebrate the 60th anniversary of SASUP, reflecting on its trajectory and the positive impact it has had on the lives of generations of students, fostering the internationalisation of these University of Porto services.
- Discuss current issues relevant to social programmes in the context of higher education, including new challenges and good practices in areas such as student support, mental health and international mobility.
To promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences between professionals and collaborators in student support services at higher education institutions, with a view to improving the quality of the services provided.
Strengthen collaboration within the EUGLOH (European Universities Alliance for Global Health) network, encouraging partnerships in the field of global health and student well-being.
