Application Procedure
Students must apply online via our application system, available HERE
The application is available in French and English, students have to click on the button on the top right of the screen to switch languages. IMPORTANT! Students should click on “apply to Ensma”
Students are strongly encouraged to read the instructions carefully before starting the application. The instructions can be found HERE (go to the bottom of the page)
NEW ! An official language test at a minimum level of B1 in the language of instruction of the program is required (in French for the Diplôme d'Ingénieur, DELF type, in English for the MSc Aeronautics and Space - AME or Turbulence program, TOEFL, IELTS type, etc.)
Students are also required to complete a learning agreement/program of studies available HERE (go to the bottom of the page). This form must be downloaded as a supporting document when they apply online.
Erasmus students must upload their OLA via https://learning-agreement.eu/

Available Exchange Programs
Exchange students can choose one program from the following list:
- "Diplôme d'Ingénieur" (ISAE-ENSMA Engineering program)
This program is taught in French. Please find some information HERE
ENSMA students integrate the school after a 2-year intensive program and spend 3 years at ENSMA leading to a Master's degree.
Our 1st year corresponds to a 3rd year at University. Our 2nd year corresponds to a 1st year of Master program. The 3rd year corresponds to the 2nd year of Master program.

The courses description are regularly updated.
NEW : Our teaching model has recently changed in our first year and we are in a period of transition between 2 different models that can be a bit confusing. Therefore, please make sure your students keep in mind that:
Semester 2 = In order to validate a course in a teaching unit and get ECTS credits, exchange Students entering semester 2 have to take all the courses of the teaching unit. Of course, they are not obliged to take all teaching units of semester 2. The grades compensate each other in each teaching unit.
Semester 4 = the system remains like before; students are not obliged to take all the courses of a teaching unit but in that case, the grades do not compensate each other and students need to have 10/20 for each course to get ECTS credits.
According to their academic level, students need to choose 1st year, 2nd year or 3rd year courses and they cannot combine courses from different years.
The final year is composed of 7 specializations (majors). Students have to choose one specialization only among the list below:
- Aerodynamics
- Energetics
- Heat transfer
- Structures
- Advanced materials
- Computer science - Avionics : Systems
- Computer science - Avionics : Data

- MSc Aeronautics & Space – Major AME (Aeronautical Mechanics and Energetics)
This program is taught in English. Please find some information HERE
This program is composed of 2 years of studies. Students cannot combine courses from different years. There are two specializations: Energetics and Propulsion and High temperature Materials

- MSc Aeronautics & Space – Major Turbulence
As exchange students, you only have access to 2nd year courses. This program is not open to double degree students.

Careful, the 1st year of the program takes place in Lille (Ecole Centrale) and the 2nd year in Poitiers (ENSIP & ISAE-ENSMA).

- Research Project in laboratories
Students coming for a research project are responsible to find their own placement by contacting directly the laboratory/department/professor/researcher. Some internships offers are available here.
Students can also apply directly by contacting the research teams :

Students can start the online application only after receiving an official approval from a supervisor.

Accommodation in Poitiers
International students can be accommodated in public student dorms owned by CROUS (student housing national office). https://www.crous-poitiers.fr/
ISAE-ENSMA has a partnership with two CROUS residences (Gemini and Centre de Vie)

Students are also free to find private accommodation. After admission, information about private accommodation and the application procedure for CROUS accommodation will be sent to them.
